Chinook Enterprises’ Employer of the Month for January was the City of Mount Vernon City Shop (Street Department and Solid Waste). The City Shop has been very supportive of City Employee Jon Carpenter for about 15 years now.
Charlie always makes sure Jon’s equipment and supplies are in running order and well stocked. Manager Scott and Assistant Manager Andy and nearly all of the Solid Waste workers treat Jon with great affection and sincerity. When he is around them, he lights up. It is clear that Jon’s relationships at the City Shop have improved his quality of life and made for a more joyful workplace for his co-workers.
